When you think of network connectivity, what’s the first thing that comes to mind? For me it’s technology, and the ability to connect two people that are in two separate geographical locations, allowing them to communicate effortlessly in real-time. At the consumer level, think Verizon, this means connecting billions of people through devices like a smartphone or computer. At the enterprise level, think NexGen Networks, we’re talking about businesses transferring vast amounts of data seamlessly and securely from anywhere around the world. I’d like to reiterate that it is these specific monopolies and quasi-governments that stand in the way of the remaining 40% of the world becoming connected because at the end of the day they have the resources, they have the capabilities, they have the capital but for some odd reason have chosen to keep billions of people living in the dark, completely disconnected from the rest of the world.
